About Sybil Mager and Michele Mayer

A lifelong Washingtonian, I graduated cum laude from the University of Washington. I hold a Bachelor's degree in business with dual majors in marketing and business management. Prior to starting my career in real estate, I acquired over six years experience in marketing for architecture and engineering firms specializing in industries including residential, commercial, and industrial land development.

My husband and I moved to Friday Harbor to start our family. As a second generation islander, Travis and I were immersed in family life returning to the place his mother, sister, nieces and nephews call home. We re-established our roots: Travis started San Juan Property Management offering vacation rental management and I joined a local real estate office and resumed my career in real estate. Expecting a new arrival in our life we decided to make some changes to our work strategy. Noticing a distinct need for services geared towards second home buyers, we re-tooled San Juan Property Management to offer and meet the specific needs of the second home owner market. Now as a family owned and operated business, I provide our clients with sales and leasing services while Travis manages the vacation rental operations. We now have our first son, Bo, and life couldn't be better.

What do we do for fun? Well we haven't purchased a boat yet–we seem to keep buying real estate! A brief summary of my real estate experience includes:

• Have personally purchased 5 primary residences.
• Personally own and manage 11 rental properties including condominiums, single family residential, and commercial properties.
• Own 2 second homes that produce seasonal vacation rental income.
• Have been involved in Washington real estate transactions in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, San Juan, and Douglas counties.
• Transactions include New Construction, Single Family Residential Resale, Multifamily, Vacant Land, Condominiums, and Business Opportunities.
• I have successfully acquired foreclosures for clients through HUD and sold pre-foreclosure properties.

I have lived on San Juan Island most of my life. I've taken the opportunity to live in other areas, but the island's beauty, lifestyle, and people enticed me back.

Now I am lucky enough to raise my children on the island and work in an industry that allows me to help others make the islands part of their life.

I have been in real estate for seven years and I like the challenge of helping property owners market their property for sale. I also enjoy working with people who are looking to buy property in the area and helping them to appreciate what the islands have to offer. Working with all types of people makes this a very satisfying career for me.
